Organization of Professional Examinations for the Administrations of the Greater South

In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research aimed at strengthening the principles of territorial equity and promoting proximity-based public services in training and recruitment for various sectors, the Didouche Mourad University of Continuing Education organized, on Friday and Saturday, October 30 and 31, 2026, a session of professional competitive examinations and assessments for the administrations of the Greater South. This initiative was carried out under the cooperation agreement signed with M’Hamed Bougara University of Boumerdes. This session represents an unprecedented strategic step towards implementing the policy of bringing public administration closer to citizens and employees. It covered four major wilayas in the Greater South: Tamanrasset, Illizi, Tindouf, and Adrar. The University mobilized all the necessary human and material resources to ensure optimal organizational conditions and meet the expectations of candidates. The examination centers commenced operations successfully and according to schedule in Illizi, Tindouf, and Adrar. The examinations took place under excellent conditions, characterized by smooth proceedings and close on-site monitoring to ensure compliance with all applicable organizational procedures. This initiative is particularly significant as it translates the principle of equal access to recruitment opportunities into practice, regardless of geographical distance. It provides employees in the wilayas of the Greater South with equal opportunities without the burden of traveling to the northern regions, as was previously required. This reflects the leading role played by the University of Continuing Education in supporting public institutions and administrations and promoting sustainable administrative development throughout the country. In a previous statement, the Rector of the University emphasized that this was the first initiative of its kind, carried out in coordination with the Civil Service authorities. He also explained that the University had initially drawn on the experience of higher education institutions in the wilayas of the Greater South, adding that the initiative would subsequently be extended to employees in other sectors in future examination sessions.
