Bachelor's by Distance

The University of Continuing Education opens its doors to every student who meets the legal registration requirements. Admission requirements

Following ministerial decision No. 1022 of 22 October 2017, UFC is accredited to train students for the Bachelor's and Master's (LMD); the baccalaureate is the requirement for Bachelor's registration.

85,000 students were enrolled in Bachelor's and Master's programs at UFC for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Registration & study

Online pre-registration opens in July and continues in September after electronic file review, results and appeals; final registration is fully digital with online payment of fees (Edahabia card).

Studies start in early October in a distance/hybrid mode via the e-learning platform, with support from qualified teachers (forum, activity grading), plus periodic in-person gatherings (flipped classroom) across the 54 centres nationwide.

As part of socio-economic cooperation, partnership agreements have been signed with several public and economic institutions (Ministry of Fisheries, Ministry of Vocational Training, Ministry of Housing via the building-trades school, Ministry of Justice via the prison administration…) for joint Bachelor's and Master's training.

UFC has 55 continuing-education centres and 15 annexes across 49 wilayas. The centre is the university's core structure and its unit for teaching, training and research.

Open specialties at Bachelor's level

Economics, Commercial & Management Sciences

A specialty focused on accounting and financial concepts applied to business and economics (management and financial accounting, audit, taxation, financing, reporting). Careers: private firms, public institutions, audit firms, banks and financial institutions.

Law & Political Science — Bachelor of Law

A program giving deep knowledge of the legal system (constitutional, civil, criminal, commercial, international law), with specialization in private or public law. Careers: law practice, public administration, legal counsel, international organizations, finance, real estate and academia.

Humanities & Social Sciences — Bachelor in Media & Communication

A field centred on analyzing communication and media (journalism, digital media, public relations, marketing, audiovisual). Careers: communication officer, print/electronic and audiovisual press, news agencies, communication and advertising firms.

Letters & Foreign Languages — Bachelor in Technical English

Applying English to technology and science: technical writing, communication in technical settings, terminology translation, technical text analysis. Careers: technical editing and translation, teaching, technical marketing.
