Closing Ceremony of the 2023-2024 Academic Year

☆ The university’s rector, Professor Yahia Jafri, presided over the closing ceremony of the 2023-2024 academic year, which was attended by many members of the university and distinguished guests, including the Inspector General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Hussein Fawzari, the Minister’s Advisor, Mr. Said Sagour, the President of the Economic and Social Council, the President of the Supreme Council of the Arabic Language, the Chief of Staff of the President of the National Assembly, members of the revolutionary family, university presidents, former UFC presidents, deans, heads of parliamentary committees on education and higher education, union leaders, advisors, inspectors, directors of various sectors, and representatives of the security and judicial forces, as well as the media.
☆ The ceremony celebrated the end of the academic year and honored outstanding students, distinguished students, and student-athletes from the university, as well as the winners of the 5-Star Student competition. The oldest student at the university, 78 years old from the Oran Center, was also honored.
☆ The ceremony also recognized some retiring professors who dedicated their lives to serving the university and the nation.
☆ The event included a video presentation highlighting the sector’s achievements and summarizing the work of the University of Continuous Education. It also featured sports demonstrations by UFC students who hold titles in their fields of activity.
☆ In his speech, the rector welcomed the attendees and congratulated the outstanding, distinguished, and athletic students, encouraging them to strive further to honor the university, the sector, and Algeria. He connected the sacrifices of the revolutionary elite of the past with the commitments of today’s state elite, reminding that the November generation restored national sovereignty and that the independence generation must achieve digital sovereignty to strengthen national immunity and protect against threats.
☆ The rector presented the current state of the University of Continuous Education with statistics, highlighted the aspects of digital transformation underway, and emphasized the rapid implementation of these changes to meet the directives of the sector’s minister, Professor Kamel Baddari, aiming to make the next academic year a year for the fourth-generation university.
☆ In conclusion, the rector thanked all the university’s contributors who support its success and announced that the first batch of academic bachelor’s degree students in distance learning will be named after the heroic martyr Didouche Mourad.
