At the invitation of Mr. Saïd Zarb, the Director General of Prisons and Reintegration, Prof. Yahia Jafri, accompanied by Prof. Zironi Mustafa, the Central Region 1 Coordinator, attended the closing ceremony of the religious and cultural activities organized during the holy month of Ramadan in correctional institutions.

   The event was attended by various dignitaries, experts, and relevant members of civil society, and was marked by final competitions among several penal institutions.

   The winners were announced by the judging panel, and the event included intellectual and cultural activities, as well as religious praises performed by the inmates. The atmosphere was very special, showcasing inmates who had memorized the entire Quran and mastered the rules of its recitation, undoubtedly representing the best form of reintegration for this group into society.

   The University of Continuous Education plays a significant role as a partner with the Directorate in taking care of the scientific integration of incarcerated individuals who pursue their studies remotely in bachelor’s and master’s programs.
