On January 29, 2024, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Baddari, received at the ministry headquarters the Executive Director of QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), Mr. Ashton Jerome Fernandis. QS is an international institution specializing in university rankings, providing analyses and information essential for competitiveness in this field.

The purpose of the meeting is to contribute to the development of a national strategy for collaboration in the university ranking field between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and QS. This collaboration aims to enhance the visibility of Algerian universities.

During the meeting, the Executive Director of QS, Mr. Ashton Jerome Fernandis, expressed his pleasure at meeting the Minister and discussed a long-term plan that includes all universities in Algeria. The goal is to prepare these institutions for international competitiveness. He emphasized his aspirations to establish a solid foundation for future bilateral cooperation between the two parties.
