University Logo Design Competition
Media and Communication Cell
Recognizing that an institution’s logo is a symbol or form that represents an institution, product, or brand in a concise, distinct, and memorable way, making it easy to embed in people’s minds, especially its audience, and given the transformations and reforms currently taking place at the University of Continuous Education, the university administration has decided to launch a competition for designers interested in proposing a new design for the university logo. Participants must adhere to the following criteria:
☆ The logo design must be unique and not previously used, meaning it should be original and new.
☆ The logo should reflect the concept, identity, goals, and methods of the university in its new direction and should be colored accurately.
☆ The new logo should be easily understood by others; complexity does not necessarily indicate importance or uniqueness.
☆ The logo must follow proportional design principles, such as the golden ratio, which allows for easy resizing without distorting the dimensions.
☆ The new logo should be clear, avoiding excessive lines and overlaps that could obscure its meaning.
☆ The logo should encompass various aspects of the university, including academic and continuous education, lifelong learning, both in-person and distance learning modes, and also reflect openness to knowledge, science, and languages. It should also represent the university’s engagement with the economic sector, as well as its focus on startups and self-employment.
☆ Each participant must attach an explanatory note that outlines the background, dimensions, and symbolism of their proposed design.
☆ Contest duration: From October 18 to November 30, 2024.
☆ Submissions should be sent exclusively to the following email: ufc-logo@ufc.dz
☆ Financial Reward: A financial reward will be granted to the creator of the best design by one of the sponsors.
Note: Creative designers are welcome to participate in the contest either individually or in collaboration with another designer.
