The policy of encouraging the establishment of scientific and sports clubs has begun to bear fruit, fostering a spirit of competition among students and between centers. This has been reflected in such participations and has also strengthened the desire to venture into the world of entrepreneurship and innovation.

The “Ibtikaratek” Club of the Souk Ahras Center participated in the national competition for the best innovative project in artificial intelligence. The club took part in the fourth edition of the National University Competition for Scientific Clubs, which brought together a select group of innovators from Algeria and Tunisia to compete for the best innovative project in the field of artificial intelligence.

The competition, organized by the University of Sheikh Larbi Tébessi – Tébessa under the slogan “Artificial Intelligence for a Better Life,” was held from February 19 to 21, 2025. It featured the presentation of student projects aimed at harnessing modern technology to serve society.

Members of the “Ibtikaratek” Club presented an innovative project based on artificial intelligence to detect driver drowsiness while driving and alert the driver, with an automatic braking system to stop the vehicle and ensure road safety.

This innovation reflects the students’ efforts to utilize modern technologies to develop practical solutions that enhance road safety standards, within the framework of national endeavors to support scientific research and innovation in various fields
