
Coordination Meeting Between the University of Continuous Education and the Algerian Institute of Standardization: Toward Establishing a Culture of Quality in the University

As part of efforts to enhance quality in management and education, the University of Continuous Education – Didouche Mourad organized a coordination meeting involving the University Rector, university executives, and experts from the Algerian Institute of Standardization (IANOR). The meeting was held in accordance with ministerial directives related to implementing the ISO 9001 quality management system in higher education.
This meeting aligned with the university’s aim to obtain ISO 9001 certification, with potential plans to adopt ISO 21001, the international standard for management systems in educational institutions. Such initiatives are designed to ensure the quality of education in line with internationally recognized standards.
The session included an open and in-depth discussion, featuring a detailed presentation by experts from IANOR on the importance of standardization and its role in improving institutional performance.
The presentation emphasized how standardization serves as a strategic tool that fosters a common language, ensures the quality and safety of services, improves consistency and compliance with regulations, and positively impacts the development of academic and administrative performance within the university.
Adopting these standards aims to achieve greater satisfaction among stakeholders and facilitate smoother collaboration between national and international universities.
