Coordination Meeting Between the University of Continuous Education and the Algerian Institute of Standardization: Toward Establishing a Culture of Quality at the University

As part of efforts to enhance quality in management and education, the University of Continuous Education – Didouche Mourad organized a coordination meeting involving the University Rector, university executives, and experts from the Algerian Institute of Standardization (IANOR). The meeting was held in accordance with ministerial directives related to the implementation of the ISO 9001 quality management system in higher education.

This meeting aligns with the university’s goal of obtaining ISO 9001 certification, with the potential to later transition toward ISO 21001, the international standard specific to the management systems of educational institutions. This initiative is aimed at ensuring the quality of education in accordance with internationally recognized standards.

The session featured rich and open discussions, including a detailed presentation by experts from IANOR on the importance of standardization and its role in improving institutional performance. Key insights included:

– Standardization as a strategic tool for fostering a common language.

– Ensuring the quality and safety of services.

– Enhancing consistency and compliance with regulations, which positively impacts the development of academic and administrative performance within the university.

These improvements help achieve the ultimate goal of embedding the standard, satisfying all stakeholders, and facilitating smoother collaboration between national and international universities.
