The University of Continuous Education has experienced a new dynamic since its accreditation for distance learning in bachelor’s and master’s programs, open to candidates who meet the legal requirements. In this context, the university has witnessed a progressive increase in enrolled students, rising from 12,000 in the academic year 2021/2022, considered the launch year of the « LMD » system, to approximately 70,000 students awaiting admission in the current academic year 2023-2024.
As part of higher education institutions implementing the ministry’s policy, the University of Continuous Education plays a role in achieving the sector’s three dimensions: distance education, knowledge dissemination, and wealth creation, harmonizing with the social and economic environment.
Digitization is a priority for the University of Continuous Education, involving the development of adaptive solutions for remote learning, particularly in creating and managing electronic learning platforms. This is facilitated by the intervention of the team of engineers and administrators managing the local digitization office and the accounts center.
Simultaneously, the university’s official website management committee, activated since June 2022, works on building a strong identity for the university and providing a primary and official source of information. It serves as an interface for students, professors, and staff, as well as the external community by offering necessary information.
