At the invitation of students from the Al-Farabi Club at the Setif Center for Continuous Education, Professor Yahia Jafari, the University Rector, accompanied by his Deputy for Pedagogy, Professor Souad Boulahia, and the Regional Coordinator for Central Zone 1, Professor Mostafa Zirouni, visited Setif to participate in the Science Day celebrations.

The event featured various student activities, lectures by professors, and a video presentation followed by explanations about the President of the Republic’s Prize for the Innovative Researcher. During the event, the extension of the deadline for participation in the prize was officially announced.

The gathering was attended by numerous officials from Setif University, parliamentarians, provincial authorities, civil society representatives, and a significant number of professors, students, and staff members.

The University Rector delivered a speech on the university’s transformations, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure success.  He discussed topics including quality, digitization, economic enterprises, new offers for the next academic year, international students, and efforts to obtain accreditation for doctoral programs.

The Rector oversaw the distribution of awards and gifts to winners of various competitions and honored contributing professors. He held a special meeting with staff and professors to listen to their concerns, pledging to address challenges such as the state of facilities and equipment.

The Rector expressed gratitude to all officials from the Setif university community who participated in the event, particularly Professor Layla Qataf, Head of the Setif Center, for excellent organization. Special thanks were also extended to members of the Al-Farabi Club, whose efforts, despite their recent establishment, played a crucial role in the event’s success.
