Today, Professor Yahia Jafari, the University Rector, accompanied by Professor Said Tarbit, Vice Rector for Communication and Relations, and Professor Habib El Oued, Director of the Bouzaréah Center, conducted an inspection visit for the university professors’ group specializing in English from various academic institutions. This visit coincided with the start of their first-semester examinations in Technical English, which marks their journey toward earning a second university degree. This initiative is part of efforts to enhance English learning and teaching, supporting Algeria’s academic integration into the ranks of universities of excellence and scientific distinction.

Professor Jafari examined the examination conditions, which are conducted in the evening (from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM) twice a week and will conclude on April 26, 2025, following 15 weeks of blended learning (both in-person and online).

During the visit, the university rector listened to some concerns of professors and students and expressed gratitude to the team managing this process for their dedication and support. He also acknowledged the commendable efforts of Algeria 3 University, led by Professor Khaled Rawaski, in ensuring the success of this initiative, particularly through providing the necessary infrastructure for group gatherings.

This initiative initially covered two pilot provinces: Algiers, which includes 12 university institutions, and Oran, with its own group of institutions. The University of Continuous Education will soon evaluate this initiative to decide whether it can be expanded to other provinces at the beginning of the next academic year, pending consultation with the authorities. The program has been well-received by university professors due to its effective organization, pedagogical oversight, and innovative tools.
