Objectives of the Research Teams at the Laboratory of Institutional Management and Economic Development, University of Continuous Education, Oran Center:

Team 1: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Economic Intelligence for Creating a Business Climate:

-Theoretical presentation of the concepts of entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic intelligence and determining their benefits and positive impact on the national economy.

-Scientific readings and foresights to highlight the foundations and prospects of entrepreneurship and innovation in Algeria.

-Theoretical analysis of the compatibility of innovation with the requirements of institutions aiming to promote a new product.

-Evaluation of the role of various entities such as chambers of industry and commerce, centers facilitating medium and small enterprises, subcontracting exchanges, and various support mechanisms in Algeria in developing entrepreneurship.

-Readings on state policies and providing suggestions for developing the concept of start-ups in Algeria.

-Organizing field visits by the research team to economic operators and guiding them to improve the image of their institutions.

-Highlighting the role of social networks in promoting and developing the concept of entrepreneurship in Algeria.

-Encouraging entrepreneurship in educational institutions to foster the creation of private projects and job opportunities.

-Organizing study days and national and international symposiums focused on entrepreneurship and modern innovation methods, providing recommendations to enhance innovation in Algeria.

-Creating partnerships between small and medium private enterprises and the public sector.

-Highlighting the role of university-business liaison offices.

-Conducting visits to entrepreneurship development centers and business incubators located in universities, schools, and university centers.

Team 2: Institutional Management and Sustainable Development:

-Theoretical presentation of the concepts of institutional management and sustainable development, as well as corporate social responsibility.

-Evaluation of the role of ISO standards in making institutions responsible citizens interacting with surrounding stakeholders.

-Readings on the basic concepts of institutional management.

-Participation of team members in scientific events related to sustainable development.

-Evaluation of the role of the Directorate of Environment in raising awareness and supporting institutions in environmental conservation.

-Providing suggestions for developing the concept of environmental institutions in Algeria, particularly in recycling and waste reprocessing.

-Organizing field visits by the research team to industrial institutions to facilitate the re-presentation or sale of production waste to relevant institutions.

-Encouraging institutions to seriously participate in charitable activities and provide assistance by adhering to ISO standards for corporate social responsibility.

-Organizing study days and national and international symposiums focused on sustainable development, corporate governance, and social and environmental responsibility.

-Highlighting the role of Algerian universities across the country in partnering with private and public institutions to improve their management.

Team 3: Tourism Development in Desert Areas for National Economic Development:

-Theoretical presentation of tourism management concepts worldwide, according to the World Tourism Organization.

-Evaluation of the role of tourism in Algerian desert areas.

-Readings on the basic concepts of tourism development, particularly in national economic development.

-Participation of team members in scientific events related to tourism and desert areas, facilitating the exchange of experiences.

-Evaluation of the role of the Directorate of Environment in promoting tourism in desert areas, and providing effective suggestions for various entities directly related to the sector, especially the National Tourism Office.

-Organizing field visits by the research team to desert tourist centers, rest areas, and hotels located in desert areas.

-Encouraging Algerian investors to invest in tourism.

-Organizing study days and national and international symposiums focused on topics related to tourism in desert areas.

-Raising awareness in higher hospitality schools to establish agreements for training tourism cadres and workers in the private and public sectors.

Team 4: Strategies for Economic Diversification and Developing Non-Hydrocarbon Export Sectors:

-Theoretical presentation of economic diversification theories.

-Evaluation of the role of non-hydrocarbon sectors in Algeria.

-Readings on the basic concepts necessary for strategic concepts.

-Participation of team members in scientific events related to economic diversification topics.

-Evaluation of the role of public entities in encouraging non-hydrocarbon sectors.

-Organizing field visits by the research team to industrial institutions to frame them for export.

-Creating job opportunities for university graduates in strategic sectors based on local production outside the hydrocarbon sector.

-Encouraging investors to export local production abroad.

-Organizing study days and national and international symposiums focused on the fisheries and aquaculture sector in Algeria.

-Establishing agreements with higher agricultural schools to guide students and support them with scientific foundations.

-Raising Awareness Among Various Entities Such as Fisheries Chambers and Agricultural Associations to Guide and Direct Stakeholders to Encourage the Development of the Algerian Economy.
