Visit of the University rector to Béjaïa Center
On January 27, 2024, Professor Yahia Jaafari, the University rector, visited Béjaïa province, accompanied by the regional coordinator for the central area 1 and the field supervisor for human rights. Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by the center’s director and heads of various departments. The delegation began their visit by inspecting the center’s facilities and operations.
The visit allowed for an examination of the conditions of the educational process and an exchange of views with the students. During this time, the University rector attended some classes, listened to the main concerns raised, responded to them, and acknowledged various suggestions.
The visit provided an opportunity for an extensive meeting with the administrative and educational staff to address their concerns and update them on the university’s ongoing transformation and its prospects. The discussion emphasized the need for active participation in the shift towards an open university, with a particular focus on emerging institutions and digitization.
The University rector highlighted the importance of enhancing communication between central and regional centers, urging collaboration to implement the digitization plan for the year. He called for increased networking and openness to the economic and social environment, considering the university as a continuous learning institution dedicated to serving the community and its creative elite.
