On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the University of Continuous Education – Didouche Mourad organized a scientific celebration, coinciding with Algeria\u2019s annual Science Day. The event took place at the university\u2019s headquarters in Dely Ibrahim, with the participation of professors, researchers, students, and guests from various academic institutions.<\/p>\n

The program began with an opening speech by Professor Yahia Jafari, the University Rector, who welcomed attendees and highlighted the symbolic significance of the occasion in fostering a love for knowledge and education. He emphasized the importance of explaining the President of the Republic\u2019s Prize for the Innovative Researcher, a prestigious award designed to encourage innovation among Algerian researchers, promoting greater competition to advance scientific research and contribute to national development.<\/p>\n

Professor Jafari also stressed that Algerian universities play a central role in realizing the vision of New Algeria, serving as a vital foundation for the country\u2019s strategic transformation. He expressed pride in the institution’s recent achievement of graduates successfully earning their doctoral degrees\u2014a historic first for the university.<\/p>\n

Regretfully, the director noted the absence of Professor Mohamed Saleh Saddek, a prominent figure and esteemed educator, who was unable to attend due to health reasons. He described Professor Saddek as a role model for generations and a true inheritor of Algeria\u2019s reform movement.<\/p>\n

The event featured several noteworthy scientific presentations, including:<\/p>\n

– Dr. Tsallit Djilali, who provided a detailed explanation of the application platform for the President\u2019s Prize for the Innovative Researcher, highlighting the eligibility criteria and evaluation methods.<\/p>\n

– \u00a0Professor Abdelmadjid Qadi, who delivered a lecture titled \u201cScience on Science Day,\u201d reflecting on the evolution of science throughout human history, with special emphasis on Algeria, and advocating for science as a strategic choice for development.<\/p>\n

– Dr. Zoubir Qassi, a professor at Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology, presented on \u201cChallenges in Using Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education,\u201d discussing the opportunities and challenges posed by modern technologies within the academic system.<\/p>\n
